  1.                   Introduction to NamePal 3.x -- Upgrade
  2.  
  3.   These instructions tell you how to update your current NamePal files with
  4.   this latest version of the program. But first, make a backup copy of your
  5.   current NamePal files, in case something goes wrong during the upgrade.
  6.  
  7.   To upgrade NamePal, put this diskette in your "A" drive, and type either:
  8.  
  9.       A:INSTALL  - for floppy diskette users (put your old NamePal diskette
  10.                    in the "B" drive, or change disks as requested if you have
  11.                    a single drive system).
  12.  
  13.       A:INSTALLH - for hard disk users (this assumes your names are on the "C"
  14.                    drive and you are "logged on" to the NamePal sub-directory,
  15.                    so you see something like "C:\NP>" on your monitor).

  17.   This "install" will copy the following files for you: NAMEPAL.EXE, NP.EXE,
  18.   TRANSFER.EXE, SETUP.NP0, and HELP.NP1. After the INSTALL save the NamePal
  19.   disk you just received as a backup, and continue using your original disk.

  21.   NOTE: There are 2 versions on this disk (NAMEPAL.EXE and NP.EXE). The NP.EXE
  22.   is newer and works best with some newer computers (type NP to start). Use
  23.   NP.EXE if the display is blank. For most computers, either version will work.
